Blackmagic announces Pocket Cinema Camera and $3,995 Production Camera 4K (hands-on)

Last year Blackmagic Design announced its Cinema Camera, and this year at NAB the company is going both bigger and smaller with two new cameras. The company's Production Camera 4K features 12 stops of dynamic range, a Super 35-sized sensor, and a global shutter. It has SSD slots to capture your footage, and much like its predecessor, the camera's interface is run almost entirely through the touchscreen on its back. The Production Camera 4K is priced at a compelling $3,995 — a number that calls to mind RED's infamous Scarlet promise of "3K for $3K." The price and capabilities of that camera ended up changing long before it ever shipped, but Blackmagic appears ready to go in this instance, with an expected July ship date.

BlackBerry's new Q10 smartphone, which comes with the physical keyboard that many BlackBerry fans prize, is selling well in both Canada and Britain, an industry analyst said on Friday.

The company introduced the Q10 (Review I Pictures), its second smartphone to run the new BlackBerry 10 operating system (Review), in Canada and Britain this week.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Official Price In India Is Rs 41,500

Even though it has been rumored to be launched on May 1, the Samsung galaxy S4 has been officially announced in India today following launch events like the one in new York City with a Broadway show, the event at the Sydney Opera House, and the awkward helicopter ride in Romania. The Indian people should consider themselves lucky to be among the first to buy the Galaxy S4 and should be happy to hear that all the details about the device have been made public and we are talking about availability, price, and other useful information.
I know you all eager to find out which processor will be powering the device in India, and you pop the champagne because you getting the Galaxy S4 underpinned by the Exynos 5 Octa CPU. Actually, India is one of the few countries to receive this model, at least for now. When it comes to other technical details, they are the same meaning that the handset has a 5-inch full HD Super AMOLED screen with a pixel resolution of 1920 x 1080. Apart from the processor, the Galaxy S4 also integrates an Adreno 320 GPU, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of on-board storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card, a 13 MP primary camera and a 2 MP front-facing shooter, and a 2,600 mAh battery. As for the operating system, there is not need to say that it runs the latest Android iteration, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, which will probably be updated to Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
Now let’s find out how much the Galaxy S4 will cost in India. The company revealed that the 16 GB version will be available for Rs 41,500 (~$783). At first glance, the price seems reasonable considering that the HTC One costs Rs 42,900 (~$809). However, the HTC One comes with 32 GB of internal storage. Due its high price, the Galaxy S4 could be bought taking advantages of the EMI offers, which will be available with certain credit cards.

The Indian customers will be able to buy the Samsung Galaxy S4 as of tomorrow. At first, the smartphone will be put on sale by the Samsung eStore and the company’s premium brand stores in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. The customers who buy the handset from noon to 4PM, will receive all sorts of “surprise gifts” from the manufacturer. After 4PM, all the major retail stores in India will start selling the smartphone.
The company said that it closed a partnership to mobile operator Vodafone and will provide the customers who purchase the Samsung Galaxy S4 with special voice and data offers. The offers will be available for prepaid as well as for postpaid customers. The company is offering a special all-in-one plan that includes unlimited data, 3000 local and STD minutes, and up to 750 local and national text messages. Unfortunately, we don’t know the speed of the provided data.
Further, the company makes the same offer as with the Galaxy Grand and will provide the Galaxy S4 users with free access to Rs 12,000 worth of My Services app content, which consists of more than 2000 films, previews and trailers, but also of lots of  English and hindi audio files, 10,000 educational videos, live streaming of various events such as concerts, textbooks, online publications, ebooks and many others.
Now all you have to do is head to the nearest retail store and buy the Samsung Galaxy S4, and be happy that you can do that as the customers in other countries have two wait a few days longer.

BlackBerry's keyboard-based Q10 handset, its first with both a keyboard and running its BB10 software, has made a red-hot start on its first weekend in the UK, selling thousands per hour at Selfridges, the only outlet that was selling it.

Ghana: Rlg TV Sets, Fridges to Hit Ghanaian Market This Year

hana's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) devices assembling giant, Rlg Communications Limited, has announced that the firm's electronic products including Television (TV) sets and fridges will hit the Ghanaian market this year.
The electronics branch of the most dynamic ICT firm in Ghana and beyond is expected to create 2000 jobs in the country.
This is also in the Chief Executive Officer of Rlg Communications Limited, Mr Roland Agambire's quest to create 1 million jobs for Ghanaian youth within some few years.
The Group Head, Legal and Corporate Affairs of Rlg Communications Limited, Mr. Prosper Harrison Addo made this known at the graduation of the first batch of the Ministry of Education Teachers' ICT and laptop distribution project in Accra, yesterday.
According to him, teachers would be one of the first groups to benefit, through schemes including hire-purchase, once production starts this year.
The nationwide Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training for 50,000 teachers project across the country was launched in December, last year, by President John Dramani Mahama.
The project aims at improving the teachers' knowledge base on ICT. They are also expected to pass on the knowledge acquired from the training to their pupils.
To this end, Rlg Institute of Technology, a subsidiary of Rlg Communications, had been contracted by government to train the teachers in the nationwide project.
The leading Ghanaian ICT firm will also provide the teachers with laptops for the first phase of the project.
Launching the project in Accra, last year, Mr. Mahama said: "it is necessary to train yourself in computer and ICT, both to make your work easier and also to be able to help your pupils in terms of the use of computer and ICT."
In the execution of this project, our understanding was that this programme would compliment an ongoing project by the Ministry of Education, which is the Basic School Computerization Project which has seen 60,000 laptops supplied to basic schools across the country already, Mr. Addo added.
